Joe Rogan teases ‘receipts’ proving Kamala Harris teamed up with ‘lying’ NBC journalist to claim he sabotaged interview

Podcaster Joe Rogan disputed a new account detailing negotiations with Vice President Kamala Harris’ team for an interview during the 2024 election.

Rogan denied the new reporting that his staff was difficult to negotiate with, stating emphatically that Harris never committed to appearing on his show throughout the process.

‘They never agreed to do the show, this is really important,’ Rogan told his audience in an episode of his show released Tuesday.

Rogan said that booking Trump for his podcast was incredibly simple.

‘Trump was really easy to book. We offered one day, he said yes, that was it,’ he recalled.

Authors Amie Barnes, of The Hill, and Jonathan Allen, of NBC News, reported in their new book “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House” that the Harris’ team tried to negotiate an interview with Rogan’s team but that they kept throwing up obstacles.

Rogan said he was willing to do the interview, but that Harris would have to come to his studio in Austin and participate in a three-hour, unedited interview, and sign a waiver.

‘They were really concerned that it wasn’t going to be edited,’ Rogan recalled, adding that staff even asked for a stenographer and a staff member to sit in the interview.

Deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty said to the book’s authors that he floated Friday, October 25 for an interview, during their trip to Texas for a rally with Beyonce.

The book claims that Rogan’s team said the 25th was a ‘personal day’ for the podcast host.

When Harris’ team proposed a Saturday morning interview, Rogan’s team said they would only do it before 8:30 am, according her team, which they found puzzling.

Rogan revealed that he had a scheduled live UFC fight companion podcast scheduled for that day for a ‘huge fight’ in the Middle East that he could not move.

‘I can’t just say, “no guys I can’t do this awesome thing because I have to interview Kamala Harris,”‘ he said. ‘I’m not going to miss that.’

Harris’ team said they grew frustrated with the negotiations.

‘The vice president of the United States is offering to come to your f‑‑‑ing show, and you keep putting up more hoops,’ deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty recalled thinking during the negotiations, according to the book.

Kamala’s team grew more wary after it was revealed that Trump would be Rogan’s guest on October 25.

Rogan emphatically disputed the account.

‘They never said she was going to do it so this whole idea that we f***d her over for Trump. Incorrect. Just not true,’ he said. ‘I think it’s someone trying to cover their ass.’

Rogan hinted he had details of the back and forth between his team and the Harris team that he could release to prove his side of the story.

‘We have all the receipts by the way, I have a whole list of conversations that took place,’ he said.

Rogan said that Allen and Parnes never reached out to check with is team about the account from the Harris team.

‘They didn’t talk to us which is kind of crazy, he said. ‘They said a bunch of things that wasn’t true.’

Rogan said that ideally, he would have liked to interview both Trump and Harris the same day and release both interviews on the same night. He also said offered to do an interview with the vice president right after his scheduled interview with Trump.

‘My manager asked, “Is she committed to doing this?” The answer was “No, she hasn’t committed.” Like they wouldn’t even say whether or not she had expressed willingness to do it,’ he said.

Even after Trump’s interview was published, Rogan revealed he was still willing to do an interview with Harris.

Rogan said that the Harris team offered to do an interview, but only if he would travel to interview her for 45 minutes in Washington, DC, which he said was not how the show worked.

He concluded that the Harris team was never serious about doing the interview.

‘I don’t think they ever really were sure they wanted to do it,’ Rogan said, and added, ‘I think we would have had fun.’
