Popular podcaster Joe Rogan has branded Girl Scout Cookies ‘toxic as f***’ after a study revealed ‘dangerous’ ingredients within them.
Rogan slammed the beloved American treat on Monday’s episode of his podcast after a study claimed they contain dangerous levels of heavy metals and pesticides.
‘Holy s***. Those f******* are toxic as f***,’ Rogan claimed in the episode.
‘They’ve done studies on Girl Scout Cookies, where they break them down and find out what’s in them,’ the host said as he read from the report during the recording.
‘Those little hustlers – they catch you at the grocery store,’ he continued.
Reading from the study, he said: ‘Thin Mints being the worst offenders. Five flavors of Girl Scout Cookies contained levels of glyphosate and heavy metals above EPA water safety limits.’
The bold statement came after nonprofit group Moms Across America, in partnership with GMOScience, released test results allegedly showing harmful contaminants in the iconic cookies sold by millions of Girl Scouts nationwide.
The study claimed that 22 out of 25 cookie samples tested positive for all five metals examined – aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury.

Thin Mints allegedly contained the highest levels of glyphosate, a widely-used weed killer.
Peanut Butter Patties reportedly had the highest concentration of toxic metals.
However, The Girl Scouts of the USA quickly defended their products, claiming their beloved cookies meet all FDA standards and pose no health risk to consumers.
In a February 6 blog post addressing the controversy, the organization wrote: ‘Rest assured: Girl Scout cookies are safe to consume.’
The Girl Scouts claimed that environmental contaminants, including heavy metals, ‘can occur naturally in soil’ and that ‘nearly all foods using plant-based ingredients, including organic foods, may contain trace amounts.’
They also insisted that glyphosate ‘is found nearly everywhere in the food chain’ and can be detected in fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals and other food products.

‘These metals are not added to our Girl Scout cookies,’ the organization emphasized.
They said their bakers ‘confirmed that the levels reported do not pose a food safety concern to our customers.’
‘This means that nearly all foods using plant-based ingredients, including organic foods, may contain trace amounts,’ according to the blog. ‘This does not mean that these foods are harmful to consume.’
