Before today, I would’ve straight up laughed in your face if you told me that there was a role Jeremy Allen White was taking that I wouldn’t find earth-shatteringly sexy. However, this week whispers have started swirling that the 33-year-old heartthrob is set to voice Rotta the Hutt in the upcoming Star Wars film The Mandalorian & Grogu. Usually, I’m a ‘No, babe, keep the costume on‘ kinda gal but this might be a bit too far even for me.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that The Bear star would likely be joining Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, who have already been confirmed for the project.
As a big JAW fan, I’m stoked for the award-winning king. However, the internet and I are surprised by the role he’s reportedly been given. You couldn’t have made him a shirtless stormtrooper or something?
The film was announced back in January with Jon Favreau — the creator of the flagship show The Mandalorian — directing the project.
“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created,” Favreau said, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
