Jamie Carragher races IShowSpeed in the CBS studio – as the YouTuber splits his suit trousers and accuses the former Liverpool defender of CHEATING

Jamie Carragher rolled back the years as he raced against YouTuber IShowSpeed on Wednesday night – and used the dark arts to try and put off his opponent.
The duo, aged 47 and 20 respectively, went head-to-head behind the scenes of CBS Sports’ Champions League coverage on Wednesday night.
IShowSpeed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr., has gained fame for his outlandish personality and has a knack of rubbing shoulders with people in high places.
He even secured an invite to Manchester United’s FA Cup victory party last season, leaving some staff furious when they weren’t invited while he boogied with the players.
It was little surprise, then, to see Thierry Henry and Micah Richards invite the American on to their fun-loving show.
And the mind-games between Carragher and Speeds began as they limbered up for a roughly 40-metre dash down the corridor next to the studio.

Jamie Carragher and YouTube IShowSpeed raced on Wednesday – but how did it go down?
‘You’re not beating me, stop saying you’re beating me. I don’t know where you’re getting these thoughts in your head. Why do you think you can beat somebody that has the name IShowSpeed?’ said Speed.
‘I raced Noah Lyles, the fastest person in the world. It was a close one.’
Carragher tried to get into his opponent’s head. ‘My tactic is just to be relaxed and run the race. The guy is too nervous,’ he said.
Richards officiated the race, counting the pair in.
Carragher got off to a good, if slightly rough, start, stickig an arm out to hold back his foe.
Around the half-way mark, the pair were even.
But on the home stretch, Speed found another gear and accelerated past Carragher, who lost his balance, before leaping through the red tape on the line with a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired ‘Suiii’ to boot.
In the aftermath, it was revealed that Speed’s pants had ripped around his left thigh, leaving more skin on show than he had intended.

Carragher got off to a fantastic start after using his strength to hold off the 20-year-old

But IShowSpeed came back towards the end to leave the 47-year-old in the dust

For his troubles, the American emerged with split pants – battle scars which were well won
‘You pushed me man! You cheated and you still lost,’ said Speed.
‘You really thought you could beat me! “I’m going to race MrBeast.” You don’t know the things you were saying. You were talking so much.
‘He did all of that! He could barely run. He was pushing me and all.
‘I wasn’t nervous man. You were talking so much, it was getting me excited. It was a competition. And I was like, “wait, he’s 47, he’s a centre-back, how’s he going to beat me?” So you cheated. That was the only thing you could do!’
Carragher summarised: ‘I’m disappointed, I thought I had him. THe race was too long. I had a really good start.
‘Listen, I’ve been cheating all my life. It’s not going to stop now.’
