Shelter, social development and education, stressing that the joint work between the Palestinian Authority and the various factions, most notably the Hamas movement, represents a real beginning for unifying the internal Palestinian ranks. The Palestinian Authority blocks some Israeli arguments regarding the absence of a unified negotiating body representing the Palestinian side. It also enhances the societal cohesion of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank under a unified leadership capable of speaking on behalf of the Palestinian people at all official and popular levels.

The head of the Reform and Ennahda Party explained that these Egyptian efforts for Palestinian reunification represent an episode in a comprehensive strategy pursued by the Egyptian state, which consists of calming the current conflicts in the region on the one hand, and striving diligently towards returning to the negotiating table and finding ways to resolve the Palestinian issue in a way.
