Married At First Sight has delivered plenty of drama over the years, but Monday night’s episode may have introduced the show’s most ruthless family member yet.
Bride Lauren Hall’s sister Tamara shocked viewers when she not only called her sibling the C-word on her wedding day but also stormed out of the reception in a rage after not receiving a pescatarian meal – meaning the only meat she eats is fish.
The chaos began early, with Tamara bickering over earrings on the way to the ceremony before tensions escalated at the reception.
‘Lauren’s sister Tamara is on the warpath after not receiving a pescatarian meal,’ the narrator quipped as Tamara lashed out at the catering mishap.
‘They’re trying to organise something for you,’ someone explained, but Tamara was having none of it.
‘I don’t care. Can I please actually have a potato? You can have the whole bowl of them. But yeah,’ she responded with clear frustration, before sarcastically quipping, ‘Wait till you try one of my pizzas. You’ll die. They’re that good. I’ve heard about it.’

Annoyed, she stormed out, declaring, ‘This is an absolute abortion’.
When tensions boiled over, Tamara reportedly uttered the C-word in an outburst that left her sister humiliated.
And the drama didn’t end there, with Tamara accusing Lauren of ruining her mood.
‘You’ve totally killed my mood,’ Tamara snapped.
‘You haven’t listened to my dietary requirements as the bride’s sister. I find it very frustrating that she can’t just keep it together for the sake of me.
‘It’s an important day. It makes me look bad, and I’m extremely upset.’
Fans of the hit reality show were quick to react on social media, labelling Tamara’s behaviour as ‘pure evil’ and ‘the most toxic wedding guest ever.’

As the night unfolded, Tamara stormed out of the reception in what could only be described as a dramatic finale to the wedding from hell.
Lauren herself struck a chord with viewers either after she slated another bride earlier in the episode.
Hall and Jamie Marinos didn’t exactly become best mates, with Lauren less than impressed with the Victorian account manager’s appearance.
‘Jamie. I mean, she’s lovely, but, like, in the real world, we wouldn’t be friends’ the Queensland business owner complained.
‘She’s too loud. And spilling drinks. We need to get her a new manicure. Jamie needs to get her nails fixed’ she continued.
‘She’s just a bit boganic. It should be in the dictionary, but basically it’s just a word to describe someone who’s a bogan.

Lauren’s use of the little-known slang word ‘boganic’ had viewers going wild with many sharing their thoughts on social media.

Several petitioned for the word to be in the dictionary, and some even suggested using it in the show’s name.

Others thought it was a poor effort from Lauren to bash another bride for her appearance.

Meanwhile, Lauren’s groom has become the show’s biggest villain, before the 2025 season of the Channel Nine reality program properly kicked off on Monday night.

Eliot Donovan enraged viewers during the first 20 minutes of the show when the ‘egotistical’ business owner outlined what he wants in a woman.
Several viewers said the 35-year-old displayed ‘big red flag w**ker energy’ as soon as he said he didn’t want to be matched with a ‘judgmental control freak’ and does not condone ‘crass behaviour’ from women.
‘If this Elliot came in with all those high standards and controlling attitude. Why was he picked??’ one viewer wrote on X. ‘He’s going to be a nightmare.’
‘Eliot won’t find 20 housewife (sic) to his “standard” – he’s expecting a young Charlize Theron’ another said, referring to his match Lauren Hall.
‘Honestly Eliot should just identify as a woman at different points during the marriage ceremony and just marry himself… I can’t see this working any other way,’ one more remarked.
