Inside Christina Haack’s murky relationship history as her latest romance is revealed

When DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Christina Haack was dating someone new earlier this week, it posed the question: Would the reality star finally get her happily ever after?

Christina, 41, has had a strenuous road to finding love, enduring three very public and messy divorces and multiple court battles with her exes since she entered the public eye.

The real estate mogul was first skyrocketed into the spotlight back in 2013, when she launched her own series with her then-husband Tarek El Moussa, entitled Flip or Flop.

The show documented the couple buying fixer upper houses, revamping them, and selling them for a hefty price.

Immediately, the world became enthralled with the pair’s cute dynamic, and the series was a massive success, transforming them both into stars practically overnight.

But their picture perfect love story came to a screeching halt in 2016 when it was reported that police had been called to their home over an altercation involving guns and a possible suicide attempt, and they ultimately split months later.

The dramatic incident was the first of many to plague Christina’s love life.

She moved on with Ant Anstead soon after she and Tarek divorced, but that too ended in an explosive divorce that saw the pair battle it out in court over the custody of their son.

She then started dating real estate agent Josh Hall, and it seemed like Christina had finally found her soulmate.

The two certainly enjoyed flaunting their love on social media, and Christina fiercely defended the romance against fans who slammed her for moving on so quickly from Ant.

But the two shocked the world when they announced that they were splitting in June 2024.

Christina has since spoken negatively about her ex on numerous occasions, and she even accused him of taking $35,000 from her account without her permission in a lengthy court showdown.

Now, however, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that she has a new man in her life: a business mogul who sources say she’s been quietly dating for months.

As her latest romance is revealed, take a look back at Christina’s murky relationship history.

Christina and Tarek started dating while they were both working as real estate agents at the firm Prudential in the early 2000s.

In 2008, they left the company to launch their own real estate agency together, called Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group.

They tied the knot in 2009, and one year later, they began flipping houses together.

The couple went on to welcome their first child, a daughter named Taylor Reese, in 2011.

It was around that time that they came up with the idea for Flip or Flop, and Tarek recorded an audition tape and sent it in to HGTV.

They were signed by the network in 2012, and they launched their show Flip or Flop one year later.

The couple began trying for a second child afterwards, but they struggled to get pregnant.

They went through two failed rounds of IVF and suffered from a devastating miscarriage before they welcomed their second child, a son named Brayden James, in 2015.

In May 2016, TMZ reported that cops had been called to the couple’s home after an altercation involving guns and a possible suicide attempt.

A helicopter and nearly a dozen deputies responded as witnesses told the site they saw Tarek run out the back door of his home with a gun and tried to escape down a hiking trail.

Sources added that they saw Christina run out of the house sobbing and trembling shortly after.

The site reported that Tarek was eventually spotted by officers and ordered to drop his weapon.

The father-of-two allegedly told police he had no intention of injuring himself and simply wanted to ‘blow off some steam.’

Five guns were seized from the home, including an AR-15.

Tarek later wrote of the incident in his 2024 book, and he said that after getting in an argument with Christina, he ‘went out to their backyard and hopped over the fence.’

While his then-wife feared for his life, he insisted that he only fled to get some exercise and check out the trails by their property after recently purchasing some new mountain bikes.

Since the trail is also a home to dangerous wildlife, the TV personality explained that he armed himself with a .38-caliber pistol as an ‘insurance policy.’

Tarek, who had obtained his California concealed-carry license just a few weeks prior, said he was shocked to see a ‘police officer leaning out of the helicopter’ pointing a ‘rifle’ at him.

‘For the next several hours, I sat on a cooler on my driveway, handcuffed,’ he wrote.

‘That was the very last time we were together as a family: with Christina walking down the driveway, crying, and me sitting there in handcuffs, asking myself, What in the world is going on?’

Six months after the incident, the couple announced that they were splitting after seven years of marriage.

‘Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed,’ the pair said in a statement.

They told People that they attended marriage counseling but decided to separate while assessing ‘the future of their marriage.’

They added, ‘During the process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be.’

‘We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.’

The pair continued to star in Flip or Flop together until it came to an end in 2022.

Seven years after their divorce, Tarek said he holds ‘nothing against Christina’ in an interview with People.

‘I understand why she did what she did. We had a lot of hard years through my sicknesses and my mental health struggles from the testosterone,’ he said.

He added that they had an amicable co-parenting relationship and that they ‘all communicate well.’

‘We really focus on the kids,’ he dished.

Ant Anstead

While going through her divorce from Tarek, Christina was introduced to TV presenter Ant through a mutual friend.

Ant had just gotten out of a divorce himself from his wife of 12 years, Louise, with whom he had welcomed two kids.

They started dating in October 2017, but kept their romance out of the public eye at first.

They went public in January 2018, when Christina shared a sultry photo of her and Ant to Instagram.

They tied the knot that December during a low-key ceremony at their home in Newport Beach, California.

By March 2019, Christina and Ant were expecting their first child together, and their son, Hudson London, was born in September.

But one year later, they shocked the world when they announced that they were splitting.

‘Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate,’ Christina wrote on Instagram at the time.

‘We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority.’

She added in another post a few days later, ‘I never thought I would have one divorce let alone two.

‘I never thought I would have two baby daddies – but sometimes life throws us curve balls.

‘Instead of getting stuck in these “setbacks” I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow.

‘So while some may judge me and throw around rumors about me, most of you support me.

‘And that says a lot about this world and where we are headed. I’m messy, I’m real and I’m working on healing … We are all a work in progress.’

Ant broke his silence on the breakup soon after, stating on social media, ‘Anyone who really knows me knows that I don’t like to share private matters publicly.

‘I have remained silent while holding on to hope. I never gave up on us. I pray Christina’s decision brings her happiness.’

Their divorce was finalized in June 2021; in April 2022, Ant requested full custody of their son Hudson, claiming that Christina had put the youngster in a ‘dangerous’ situation.

He also alleged that she only saw their son ‘nine full days each month’ and that he was the ‘primary parent.’

‘What Ant is doing deeply saddens me,’ Christina responded in a statement to Business Insider.

‘If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested.

‘I have had my share of ups and downs, but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them.’

In her own filing, Christina alleged that Ant ‘attempted to mislead the court’ and said his claims that he was ‘the defacto primary parent’ were ‘not accurate.’

The custody battle was settled in November 2022, and the former couple agreed to ‘continue to have joint legal and joint physical custody’ of Hudson.

Just two weeks after her divorce was finalized, Christina sparked dating rumors with real estate agent Josh when they were spotted holding hands at the airport.

Immediately, Christina faced backlash online for moving on so quickly. But she was quick to defend her new romance on Instagram.

‘I met Josh when I wasn’t in a state of fear or fight-or-flight … I may be a bit crazy and I’m definitely not perfect but I will never live my life based on other peoples judgments or opinions,’ she wrote.

‘We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect.

‘Josh doesn’t have social media, but I want to thank him for whisking me away on a romantic tropical vacation he planned entirely on his own.’

She added in a second post alongside a selfie with Josh, ‘Some people are lucky enough to get forever the first time but no one should be shamed for things not working out and no one knows what goes on behind closed doors.

‘Remember that before making judgements and assumptions … and this woman/mama is still lucky enough to have this man choose me.’

The couple announced their engagement in September 2021, and married privately one month later.

They went on to throw a lavish wedding in Hawaii in September 2022.

In 2022, the couple also co-launched a production company, called Unbroken Productions, which was behind her shows Christina on the Coast and Christina in the Country.

In May 2024, it was revealed that Christina and Josh would be starring in a new competition series with her ex Tarek and his new wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, entitled The Flip Off, which is set to premiere later this month on January 23.

However, one month after the show announcement took place, Josh filed for divorce from Christina.

Afterwards, Christina alleged in court filings that Josh took $35,000 from her without permission.

In his own court documents, he claimed that he used the money to pay ‘expenses’ related to their joint Franklin, Tennessee, home.

‘I made this request because I needed access to the rental income so I could continue to pay ongoing expenses and responsibilities related to the properties, which I directly handle,’ he said.

Christina addressed the controversy on Instagram at the time, writing, ‘I have worked my a** off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed.’

‘An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you – but “still, I rise,'” she added, referring to a quote by Maya Angelou.

‘For those that aren’t aware… divorces do not happen overnight… and there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.’

Josh seemed to respond in a post of his own, stating, ‘I prefer privacy, especially during something as life-changing as a divorce I did not ask for.

‘I will not publicly badmouth anyone, as people have families, friends, and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever.

‘We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters.

‘Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are.’

In October, the court ruled that Josh would return ‘the remaining funds in his possession’ from the $35,000, while Christina was ordered to pay him $100,000.

The money could be used ‘for any purpose, including his interim financial needs as well as attorney’s fees, costs and forensic accounting fees.’

Following their split, many wondered what would happen with The Flip Off.

In December, HGTV revealed that Christina competed against Tarek and Heather solo; while there were briefly rumors that she had teamed up with her ex Ant on the series, the network confirmed that he only appeared briefly as a judge.

The insider went on to say that they are ‘surprised’ that news hasn’t come out about their relationship since ‘they certainly don’t hide that they’re together.’

While the timeline of when they actually started dating or details of how they met are unclear, Christina and Chris, a 52-year-old CEO from Newport Coast, California, have attended multiple events together the past three months.

In October, the HGTV star jetted off on a luxurious Italian vacation hosted by Ferrari, and in photos posted by Ferrari of Newport Beach via Instagram, Christina was allegedly seen holding hands with her new beau after a dinner.

Although the photo is of the back of the couple, sources claimed it’s them in the photo, and suggested that he was the one who invited her as a guest on the extravagant trip.

When asked if she planned to remarry anytime soon by Us Weekly last week, Christina said, ‘I’ll always love love. I probably will [get married again] eventually. But, not anytime soon.’

She added that she would need to ‘be engaged for a minimum of, like, five years,’ before walking down the aisle again.
