Industry Season 3 Finale: Ending Explained

Industry Season 3 Finale: Ending Explained

Warning: This piece contains spoilers for the Season 3 finale of Industry.

The HBO hit Industry has come to the epic conclusion of its third season finale, leaving audiences in shock as to where the extremely stressful finance drama will go next. Here’s everything you need to know about the Industry Season 3 ending.

In case you haven’t seen or heard of Industry, think of if The Bear wasn’t about cooking meals, but cooking books — and was just as anxiety-inducing to watch.

Centred around an ensemble cast of young finance grads embarking on a career in “the industry” (hence the name), the show keeps the stress coming by using the 2008 Global Financial Crisis as a setting. Frankly, it’s a surprise it doesn’t classify as a horror.

Since 2020 the HBO original has received rave reviews for its ensemble cast and tight writing, and those positive reviews continued when the Industry Season 3 finale aired on September 30.

The final episode of Industry Season 3, titled “Infinite Largesse” was quickly praised online as “one of the best episodes of television”. Which is a big call, considering Game Of Thrones‘ “Red Wedding” episode exists. (That said… it did get bloody!)

“Season 3 of Industry is the best single season of television I’ve ever seen,” wrote one person on X (formerly Twitter).

Major spoilers ahead of course, so don’t read on unless you want a breakdown of everything that happened in the Industry Season 3 ending.

Industry Season 3 Ending Explained

Pierpoint comes to end

For the better or worse of its staff, the company at the centre of the show, Pierpoint, is closing after being shut by the company’s new Egyptian management.

This leaves Eric to farewell the London branch, who is unable to win the confidence of employees in an address.

Later in the episode the plot skips forward a few months, and Eric also has his position terminated. Though he has all the money, he does not have any of the power.

Yasmin gets engaged

Yasmin meets with Henry, and discusses her future financial options. He offers her a means to solve all her problems and live with the luxuries she is used to.

However, it would mean marrying him. Which is particularly rough for Robert, who loves Yasmin. But instead of talking to Rob about the offer/proposal from Henry, Yasmin sleeps with him in a field and tells him she loves him.

Making it even more heartbreaking for Rob when he hears at a dinner that she is getting married to Henry.

Rishi’s debts catch up with him

After owing hundreds of thousands of pounds, Rishi’s debtor Vinay turns up to his apartment.

Though he is supposed to be celebrating his birthday with his former partner Diana, Vinay then confronts Rishi on the amount of debt he is in. Rishi says that he is unable to pay back what he owes.

Then, in one of the bloodiest and most shocking moments of the show, Vinay shoots Diana dead at the table. This move will force Rishi to face the (now deadly) consequences of his reckless actions.

Rob’s new pitch

The Industry Season 3 opens and began with what appears to be a time jump, as Robert is now joined by some new employees for Little Labs in what appears to be America.

After receiving over $1.5 million in early funding, Rob informs the new workers they are able to get started right away. He seems hopeful, despite Yasmin’s apparent marriage to Henry.

When will Industry Season 4 come out?

Though HBO and the show’s creators confirmed early on that another season of Industry was coming, no approximate time has been given for its release.

That said, all previous seasons have been almost exactly two years apart. So following that pattern, perhaps fans will start hearing more in 2026.
