The repeal of the pension reform, “It’s a proposed law that would cost 20 billion euros from next year, it’s a fundamental challenge to our economic and social model, it’s a real bomb”said Thursday, November 28, the Ensemble pour la République (EPR) deputy Pierre Cazeneuve, guest of franceinfo evening, while more than 600 amendments must be examined before midnight for the text to have a chance of being voted on.

“We are in a very complex economic and budgetary context, this would lead to a reduction in pensions for retirees or an increase in contributions for those who work, which we do not want”he explains. This is why the EPR group tabled just under 300 amendments, notably on the title of the bill.

But “it’s not obstruction”repeats the deputy, “in 2020 on pension reform, [il y a eu] 19,357 amendments from La France insoumise, 2023, 12,957 amendments”.

This bill is “in any case unconstitutional”according to the MP, “because we do not have the right to table a bill that would create 20 billion [d’euros] of charge, and there too, it is not respected by La France insoumise”.
