Friday, November 29, will take place Black Friday with its slashed prices, in stores, but also online. However, offers that are too tempting could turn out to be fraudulent. Sophie Lebot, victim of fraudulent sales sitefell into the trap by clicking on an ad on Facebook for a clothing brand she liked. The promotions are a dream and a countdown tells her that she must act quickly. She purchased three items and was charged 72 euros, but she never received her order.
When she called one of the stores, she learned that there were no promotions for this brand. Despite being reported, the fraudulent site is still online. This is a mirror site which copies an official site in every way, but belongs to hackers who recover the victims’ money and bank details. Too attractive prices or inactive links at the bottom of the page on sites can alert you when shopping online.
