During its golden jubilee celebration today, the Emirates Journalists Association honored the names of the late journalistic writers Ibrahim Nafi, editor-in-chief and board of directors of Al-Ahram, former president of the Union of Arab Journalists, and Salah El-Din Hafez, former Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Journalists, for their prominent role in establishing the association.

Al-Munaie added: “On this fragrant occasion, we launch a charter of honor for freedom and responsibility, and we honor the founders and leaders of the Arab Journalists Union.” Those who supported the association, and the winners of the Emirates Journalism Award, with the launch of four new awards aimed at encouraging innovation and excellence in the media field.
The new awards include: Innovative Media Institution and Inspiring Media Personality. And the Inspiring Media Personality in the Female Journalists category, and the Best Content Creator Award.
Dominic Bradley, President of the International Federation of Journalists, greeted the Emirates Journalists Association during her speech, Pointing to the importance of the press following developments in the digital world.
Muayad Al-Lami, President of the Union of Arab Journalists, saluted the UAE for the technical, scientific and media development it is witnessing and the Emirati Journalists Association, on the occasion of its jubilee celebration. Al-Dhahabi, led by Mona Al-Marri, Director of the Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Excellency Al-Munaie, President of the Journalists Association Emiratis.
Al-Lami paid tribute to the souls of the martyrs of journalism in the hotbeds of conflict in the Arab world, stressing the support of the Arab Journalists Union for all unions.
