Hollywood megastar goes incognito as she lands in Sydney to film new Netflix thriller with co-star Taron Egerton
Hollywood stars Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton were spotted touching down in Sydney on Sunday as production gears up for their upcoming Netflix thriller, Apex.
The 49-year-old Oscar winner opted for a low-key yet effortlessly chic look as she strolled through the airport.
Charlize was dressed in a cosy oversized cream knit sweater paired with loose-fitting blue jeans.
She completed her off-duty ensemble with crisp white sneakers and a stylish wide-brimmed tan fedora.
Her blonde locks were tucked neatly under the hat, while a pair of oversized black sunglasses concealed much of her face, ensuring a hint of anonymity.
Carrying a maroon jacket over her arm and trailed by a team of assistants, Theron looked every bit the understated A-lister.
Meanwhile, her co-star Taron Egerton, 35, kept things casual in a grey quarter-zip sweater layered over a T-shirt, teamed with relaxed-fit charcoal joggers and classic Converse high-tops.

The Kingsman star added a baseball cap to his travel attire, keeping his appearance laid-back as he wheeled his luggage through the terminal.
Egerton was seen clutching a colourful tote bag, possibly holding personal items or scripts for the highly anticipated project.
The pair are in Australia to work on Apex, a gripping thriller directed by Baltasar Kormákur.
The film, penned by Jeremy Robbins, is being described as Free Solo meets Silence of the Lambs.
The story follows a rock climber who becomes the target of a terrifying hunt in the wild.
Theron, who is also producing the project through her new media company alongside producers Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix, is no stranger to taking on physically demanding roles.
Joining forces with producers Ian Bryce, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and David Ready of Chernin Entertainment, as well as Kormákur’s RVK Productions, Apex promises to deliver a nail-biting cinematic experience.
Egerton, best known for his breakout role in Kingsman: The Secret Service and its sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, is stepping into another intense character.
The film marks a departure from his past performances, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

On the career front, Theron is rumored to be playing the enchantress Circe in Christopher Nolan’s big-screen adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey, which is expected to start shooting early this year.
On December 26, The InSneider reported that the Greek myth epic will be ‘the most expensive film of Nolan’s career’ compared to The Dark Knight, which had a budget between $250million and $300million
Zendaya, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o are also slated to star in the Universal Pictures flick hitting IMAX theaters on July 17, 2026.
It’s been nearly two years since the Emmy nominee wrapped her role as the oldest immortal warrior Andromache ‘Andy’ of Scythia in Victoria Mahoney’s superhero sequel The Old Guard 2, and Netflix still hasn’t announced a release date.
