within the framework of achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030, in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced its future plan to establish new institutes in some governorates, in order to achieve the fair geographical distribution of higher education institutions and enhance sustainable development in various parts of the Republic, and is appropriate for the needs of the labor market. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, that the Ministry has conducted detailed studies that included a statistical analysis of the geographical distribution of institutes at the level of the Republic, the various scientific specializations for institutes, and the number of students in every specialty, with the aim of identifying the governorates that suffer from a scarcity in higher institutes, as well as the specializations required to support the labor market and enhance higher education opportunities. Institutes, the analysis of the specializations available at the level of the Republic showed the need to direct the establishment of new institutes in the governorates that lack certain specializations, in order to achieve a balance in the distribution of educational institutions and enhance educational opportunities for all students, as an initiative from the ministry to determine the investment opportunities available to establish new institutes in the areas of higher education that the governorates need. Commercial Studies Sector Governorates: South Sinai, Ismailia, Assiut, Fayoum, and New Valley. As for the engineering studies sector, it includes governorates: Qena, Port Said, South Sinai, the Red Sea, and the New Valley.
& nbsp; As for the computer science sector, it includes the governorates of: Alexandria, the New Valley, Marsa Matrouh, Suez, Sohag, Lake, North Sinai, West, and Damietta. As for the media studies sector, the governorates of the New Valley, Aswan, Sharqia, Western, North Sinai, and Luxor were identified. As for the specialization of applied health sciences, it includes governorates: Eastern, Western, Dakahlia, Cairo, Giza, Aswan, New Valley, South Sinai, and Alexandria. In the nursing sector, governorates were identified: & nbsp; Cairo, Dakahlia, West, Eastern, South Sinai, Assiut, Beheira, Alexandria, and Port Said. As for the agricultural studies sector, its opportunities are available in the governorates of the New Valley, Eastern, Western, and Dakahlia. He also stressed that the ministry will work to implement this plan in coordination with the competent authorities, to ensure the achievement of the desired goals of establishing new institutes.
