The Ministry of Health and Population completed the third phase of the field traffic campaign on medical facilities in all governorates, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to intensify field work and continuous follow-up of the health system, to identify any challenges, and monitor any deficiency and treat it immediately.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that a committee from the General Administration of Radiology, headed by Dr. Mohamed Fawzi, Advisor to the Minister for Radiology Affairs, Dr. Hala Mostafa, Director General of the General Administration of Radiology, and members of the administration and the Executive Office for Radiation Protection visited hospitals in Qalyubia Governorate. To follow up on the progress of work and provide appropriate support to improve the medical services provided.
Abdul Ghaffar added that visits were made to the radiology departments of Banha Children’s Hospitals, Toukh Fever Hospitals, Banha Health Insurance Hospital, and Al-Qanater Charity Hospital, in an effort to raise the efficiency of medical facilities and provide quality health service. Monitoring any deficiencies in the level of medical service, and taking corrective measures on the job.
Abdul Ghaffar noted that the committee will continue to provide a heart echo ultrasound device in the radiology department at Benha Hospital for Health Insurance, and provide Benha Teaching Hospital with a modern MRI machine and a modern mammogram machine, recommending that all CT scans with dye be provided for children in Benha Hospital. Abdul Ghaffar added that the committee inspected Toukh Central Hospital, where a completely new hospital was established. And supporting it with the latest devices, pointing out the recommendation to provide an echo heart device, and train doctors to work on the device, in the intensive care department at Toukh Fever Hospital.
