Health: creating a role "Assistant managers of primary care facilities" Develops administrative and technical performance

The Ministry of Health and Population announced the creation of a new role in health units and family medicine centers,  To improve health care programs to enhance  Maternal and child health, to ensure the quality of medical services provided to them, within the framework of the President of the Republic’s initiative to develop primary care services.

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the introduction The role of "Assistant Directors of Primary Maternal and Child Health Care Facilities",  It will contribute to developing administrative and technical performance within primary care facilities, ensuring the highest levels of quality in health service.

Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, said – during the opening of the training program for the assistant director of the facility for child and maternal health – that this The role reflects the Ministry’s strategy to develop the health system and enhance services provided to mothers and children, explaining that the Ministry pays great attention to improving the work environment within health facilities through training and qualifying medical and administrative staff, stressing the importance of raising performance efficiency to ensure the provision of health services. Integrated and in line with the latest international standards.

For her part, Dr. Rasha Khader, Head of the Basic Care and Family Development Sector, explained – in her speech – that the training program for assistant directors of primary care facilities for child and maternal health lasted over two days, and included representatives of 251 A development facility within the first phase of the Primary Care Services Development Initiative, with the participation of 500 trainees who possess the skills of leadership, supervision, planning, organization and effective communication, to ensure their ability to carry out their new tasks with high efficiency. In addition to the directors of maternal and child care at the level of health affairs directorates in all governorates.

Dr. Rasha Khader indicated that the role of the facility director’s assistants lies in supervising the provision of health services in accordance with the highest standards, stressing that their tasks include monitoring the general appearance. Adherence to the official uniform in service delivery areas, availability of medical supplies and basic equipment, in addition to monitoring technical performance and commitment to applying health care protocols with regard to maternal and child health. It also stressed the importance of this role in ensuring continuity of service quality and its integration within Health facilities.
