The Ministry of Health and Population organized a visit by a delegation from the State of Japan to Dar Al Shifa Hospital, headed by Fuji Hisayuki, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan, in the presence of Dr. Nima Saeed Abed, Representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, and accompanied by Dr. Maha Ibrahim, Head of the Centers Secretariat. The visit began with an inspection tour of the hospital, where the hospital administration reviewed its history, the medical services provided, and the latest technologies and devices that have been used. It was added recently, and the tour also included a visit to the sick and injured Palestinians who are receiving treatment in the hospital, against the backdrop of the events in Gaza.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Japanese partnership projects. The delegation also inspected the internal department, on the fifth floor, and the dialysis unit, In addition to learning about the latest equipment, including the new MRI unit.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Japanese delegation praised the distinguished level of service and advanced performance that was observed during the inspection tour, stressing the importance of Continued joint cooperation between the two sides to achieve more achievements.
It is noteworthy that the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Japanese side, to improve the services of Dar Al-Shifa Hospital goes back to the year 2019, when the Japanese quality improvement activities known as 5S- KAIZEN, which contributed to raising performance efficiency and improving the work environment, and cooperation continued over the past years, which led to Dar Al-Shifa Hospital being honored as one of the hospitals with optimal performance in applying these methods.
