Head of Hospitals and Educational Institutes: We spare no effort in supporting research activities to develop the health service

 The head of the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Abdel Ghaffar, confirmed that the Authority spares no effort in supporting these research activities. Which is directly reflected in the quality of health service within the authority’s units. This was clearly demonstrated by the accreditation of the Kidney Transplant Center at Damanhour Teaching Hospital in 2022 and the achievement of successive successes in this field.

 

This came during the organization of the conference by Damanhour Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes. The 24th annual Kidney Diseases and Transplantation Unit, sponsored over the past two days, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Kidney Diseases and Transplantation, and in the presence of Dr. Sherif Safwat, Vice President of the Authority for Technical Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Gaber Adam, honorary president of the conference and professor of internal and renal diseases at Alexandria University, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Al-Banna, Director General of Damanhour Teaching Hospital, and headed by Dr. Salwa Zaghloul, president of the conference and head of the hospital’s kidney unit.

 

< p>Abdul Ghaffar indicated – in a statement today, Friday – that holding major scientific events on an ongoing basis is one of the pillars of the authority’s continuing medical education and training, adding that holding the conference for the 24th session is greater Evidence of the scientific importance of this conference for all specialists in this field, given that the Kidney Department at Damanhour Teaching Hospital is considered one of the most prestigious departments in the Authority, and is full of many scientific and research figures, who play a pioneering role in transferring their expertise and educating and training successive generations inside and outside Egypt.

 

For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Banna, Director General of Damanhour Teaching Hospital, said that this year’s conference was held over two days, with the first day witnessing a workshop on “Transplantation.” Kidney" In the presence of trainers from Damanhour Teaching Hospital, Cairo University, Ghoneim Kidney Center, Cairo Kidney Center, and the National Kidney and Urology Institute in Cairo.

 

The workshop discussed the basics of kidney transplantation, in order to raise the efficiency of trainee doctors from All hospitals in Beheira Governorate and from various parts of the Republic, in cooperation with the Egyptian Fellowship Authority. Then, the next day, the scientific conference sessions began, in which professors from various universities participated. Egyptian, Cairo, Ain Shams, Alexandria, Tanta, Mansoura, New Giza, and Ghoneim Kidney Center, and discussed various renal interventions, the role of clinical pharmacy in kidney disease, chronic kidney disease, and the ethical aspects of kidney transplant operations, to provide the opportunity for young doctors to learn and benefit from the expertise of professors and consultants in this field. To create new generations capable of continuing the process of development and service Patients.

 

In turn, Dr. Salwa Zaghloul, President of the Conference, said that during the workshop, clinical cases of kidney transplantation were presented, the basics of kidney transplantation that nephrologists require knowledge to be reviewed, and talk in the field of Medications used in kidney transplantation, as well as a discussion of the hospital’s kidney transplant program, where 60 doctors attended the workshop.
