Grace O’Malley has decided to address the recent fallout with Brianna ChickenFry in true comedic fashion. Spoiler alert: it’s messyyyy and the internet is obsessed!
Just days after Brianna ‘ChickenFry’ LaPaglia went on the BFFs podcast to spill the tea about the end of PlanBri Uncut, Grace took to the stage at a stand-up gig, ready to share her thoughts on the situation.
The tension between these two has been simmering for a while, and now that the podcast is done for good, it seems like both ladies are ready to air their grievances in their own ways.
“I’m sorry if I’m not myself tonight, I’m going through a divorce,” Grace quipped, instantly earning laughs from the audience.
But she wasn’t done there. “It’s a very common type of divorce, with just a few minor differences. For example, it’s not a marriage; it was a 15-year friendship. She’s not keeping the house; she’s keeping the podcast.”
Grace added: “When it came to the kids, we took a very progressive approach — instead of doing shared custody, we let the kids decide who they want to go with.”
Now, if you’ve been living under a rock (or just not scrolling TikTok), you might have missed Brianna’s recent appearance on her podcast BFFs with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, where she laid out her side of the story.
“We’re sitting there, pretending to be friends and I didn’t feel seen by her [so I] set a boundary,” Brianna explained, adding, “I gave her everything and I would do it all over again.”
Meanwhile, Grace has made it clear that the end of their podcast partnership was “not a mutual decision”, on her Instagram Stories. So we’ve got one friend feeling unseen and another feeling blindsided — the chaos is real and the internet is lapping it up.
Which is what Grace was probably referring to when she said “the kids” were choosing who to side with. So far the internet has been overwhelmingly Team Grace in the PlanBri Uncut fallout wars, with many implying that Brianna has been treating Grace as a bad friend.
“Brianna ChickenFry like seriously pisses me off, because what do you mean you’re now publicly humiliating your BEST FUCKING FRIEND and doing her DIRTY the exact same way you’ve been done? PLEASE,” said one passionate X user.
“Nah Brianna ChickenFry is lame AF for doing a tell all about her childhood best friend… You don’t throw your girls under the bus to your millions of followers,” said another.
Some fans are urging others to stop taking sides and instead just congratulate the girl on their separate ventures: “I THINK WE SHOULD ALL CONGRATULATE GRACE ON HER SOLD OUT COMEDY SHOW INSTEAD,” wrote a fan.
In the end, while we may never get a full tell-all from Grace — especially since she supposedly turned down Dave Portnoy’s offer to come on BFFs and spill the tea—we’re still grateful for the snippets of insight she’s shared amidst all this drama.
As they say, trauma really does make you funnier, and we’re glad she’s using her stage to process the chaos.
