WWE superstar Charlotte Flair has opened up about her third divorce, with the public knowledge of her split from fellow professional wrestler Andrade coinciding with her return to television.
Flair talking about her third marriage not staying together brought her to tears, as she needed a moment to ‘gather’ herself.
Flair’s divorce from Andrade was filed last June, with it becoming public knowledge in early February, days after Ric Flair’s daughter made her on-screen return to professional wrestling and won her second ‘Royal Rumble’ match.
‘I felt like I was failing at my job, I felt like I was failing in my personal life,’ Flair said on ‘Sherri’, with her severe knee injury keeping her out of action at the time of her spilt from Andrade.
Flair’s knee injury occurred in December 2023, sidelining her for 14 months. Andrade re-signed with WWE last January, with the couple never appearing together on-screen.
Charlotte, whose real name is Ashley Fliehr, also talked about ‘the embarrassment of being divorced again’ and ‘being compared’ to her father, who has been divorced five times.

Flair was previously married to a man named Riki Johnson from 2010 to 2013, with a second marriage to another professional wrestler, Thom Latimer, starting in 2013 and ending in 2015.
Latimer was known as Kenneth Cameron in the WWE and later known as Bram outside the company. Now, Flair is single again at 38.
‘When I made the decision to file for divorce, the only thing that I kept thinking is that I just don’t want anyone to know,’ Flair said. ‘The WWE audience hasn’t gotten to see the comeback of Charlotte Flair. This wasn’t a Charlotte Flair redemption story, but for me, it is a redemption story.’
Flair is slated to face Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41 later this month.
Charlotte has also been compared to her father due to her in-ring success. Flair is a 14-time champion, while WWE credits Ric with 16 world championship reigns, tied with John Cena for the all-time record.
Other historical databases claim Ric has between 17 and 25 world-championship wins. Flair himself says he is a 21-time world champion.
