Giza Governor: Legal measures taken against 160 service cars that do not comply with the specified tariffs

The Governor of Giza, Ahmed Rashid, announced that the governorate was able to seize 160 service cars violating the tariffs specified for traffic routes, during the campaigns launched by the Giza Governorate agencies through the service agency and the relevant agencies over the course of a week, in implementation of the mandates of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister. By intensifying campaigns on parking lots, regional and internal parking lots, roads and traffic axes, to ensure drivers’ compliance with the new tariff.

The governor indicated – in a statement today, Thursday – that the campaigns included all sectors of the governorate in centers, cities, neighborhoods and highways and contributed to imposing discipline. On the citizens’ transportation system and the fares collected, while controlling traffic violations for some vehicles for which legal measures have been taken, whether by canceling or withdrawing their service itinerary, imposing fines prescribed in this regard, or withdrawing vehicle licenses, in cooperation with the General Traffic Department.

The governor confirmed that the service agency, neighborhoods, centers, and cities were stressed on the necessity of placing the sticker for service vehicles and public transportation, which includes the itinerary and the fare determined according to the new increases, and posting them in clear locations inside the official parking lots to educate citizens and ensure that car drivers do not By increasing the ride tariff individually or dividing the traffic routes.

He also stressed that the state, with all its agencies, stands with the citizen against any exploitative behavior by some service vehicles, whether by violating the tariffs specified for the traffic routes or dividing the vehicle route, pointing out The heads of neighborhoods, centers, and cities, as well as the service apparatus and monitoring and follow-up agencies, have been assigned to continue launching sudden and periodic campaigns on roads, axes, and parking lots, while enforcing the law with the utmost firmness against violators.

The governor noted that citizens have a major role in cooperating with the governorate and reporting.
