The Robert Koch Institute, a specialist in virology, of the German Ministry of Health, has placed the United Kingdom on the list of countries and regions with SARS-CoV-2 mutations.
The listing is associated with an increase in the number of people infected with the new Omicron virus strain. During the past day in the United Kingdom, 10,059 new cases of the detected variant were recorded in the Republic of South Africa.
The declaration of the mutation distribution area should restrict the movement of passengers. All arrivals to Germany from Britain, including sick and vaccinated people, will be isolated for 14 days.
So far, the total number of coronavirus cases caused by omicron has reached 24,968 in Britain. Seven people died of infection with the new strain.
