Four teens arrested after violent brawl erupts in a Bunnings carpark over a pair of AirPods

A man and a teenager have been stabbed while attempting to retrieve a pair of allegedly stolen AirPods in a Bunnings carpark.

The group of men began brawling in the carpark on Pearcedale Parade in Broadmeadows, in Melbourne’s north, about 7.30pm on Monday.

A 40-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries with up to five teenagers seen running from the scene.

A police helicopter was deployed to follow the group, with three 19-year-old boys and an 18-year-old boy arrested at a nearby address.

Police said the stabbing victims had decided to take matters into their own hands and confronted the group following a robbery at Broadmeadows Central.

The pair had used the ‘Find My’ app to trace the location of the AirPods, which led them to the Bunnings carpark.

Officers were seen scouring the scene for clues and collecting evidence on Monday.

A 19-year-old boy has been charged with causing serious injury with intention in circumstances of gross violence, affray and robbery.
