Four people were shot including a NYPD cop at a major subway station in Brooklyn during a horrific daylight gunfight.
The gunfight took place at Sutter Avenue Station in East New York, Brooklyn around 3pm. Officers at the scene are not sure if all the civilians who were shot are the suspects or if one or more were bystanders.
The shooting stemmed from reports of a disturbed person with a knife but the details are not immediately clear yet.
One officer was reported to have been shot on the right side of the torso.
A second officer was taken to the hospital but was not shot.

One of the suspects was a woman who was reportedly struck in the head, the New York Post reported.
The officers were brought to Brookdale University Hospital.
The New York City Police Department wrote on their X account: ‘Due to a police investigation, avoid the vicinity of Van Sinderen Avenue & Sutter Avenue in Brooklyn. Expect a police presence & traffic delays in the surrounding area.’
The power has been turned off on the northbound and southbound tracks from north of Atlantic to south of Rockaway, police said.
