Former New York Governor is brutally attacked by gang of kids while trying to stop them climbing fire escape
Former New York Governor David Paterson has been savagely attacked by a group of teenagers after he and his son tried to prevent them from climbing a fire escape in Manhattan.
David Paterson, 70, and his son, 20, came across the teenagers on Second Avenue near East 96th Street shortly before 9pm on Friday.
A confrontation apparently erupted after Paterson and his son told the three young men to stop scaling the fire escape.
The teenagers then launched a senseless attack on the 70-year-old and his son. They both suffered injuries to their faces, according to the New York Post.

After the incident, the former governor was rushed to NY Cornell Medical Center, where his condition is reported to be ‘ok,’ according to NBC.
