"Financial oversight" and"stock market" Next Wednesday is a holiday marking the end of the fiscal year

The Financial Supervision Authority announced the suspension of work for it and its affiliated entities next Wednesday. On the occasion of the end of the financial year of banks on December 31, 2024, and the suspension of work in banks operating in Egypt.

The authority indicated – in a statement – that work will resume the next day, Thursday, January 2, 2025.

The Egyptian Stock Exchange also announced that the market would be closed on Wednesday on the occasion of the bank failure and the end of the fiscal year, provided that the stock exchange would resume its activity the next day, corresponding to January 2. 2025.
