Fears grow that a huge and unregulated wave of migrants will hit Europe because of hunger

European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas stated, that the migration of people from Africa and the Middle East to Europe, due to famine, would be, “chaotic”.

According to him, the new wave of immigrants will be more chaotic than the Ukrainian wave. All because of the acute shortage of food. People are expected to travel north, including by boat.

“We are very interested in avoiding this,” Schinas said.

Also, according to him, the lifting of the ban on the ports of Ukraine will not allow to avoid the influx of migrants, but this will be a positive signal for the market.

According to the Financial Times, a third of EU member states are facing double-digit inflation.

Thus, Estonia suffers the most, with consumer prices up about 19% over the year.

And in France, they began to issue vouchers for the purchase of products to residents of the country due to high prices.
