Whenever Manchester United play, the microscope comes back out.

I mean, it’s all for good reason. For the majority of this campaign, United have been mediocre at best. In fact, I think that’s me being rather kind to them.

Two wins in their last two games have been enough to brighten spirits around Old Trafford, but United are always one poor result away from their crisis deepening.

It’s fair to say, that even if they did beat Fulham at the weekend, the storm surrounding Ruben Amorim’s side is still raging.

I can just see it now, a loss tonight, and the fanbase will implode once again.

If that were to happen, United may actually find themselves in the Europa League play-offs, which is not what they want.

A win, however, would make it three on the spin and just one defeat seven. All of a sudden, Amorim and his group of misfits will have some momentum at last.

Every night feels like a big one for United, and tonight is no different.
