The Married At First Sight (MAFS) Reunion Dinner Party has had many explosive moments. However, it was Paul Antoine‘s flip on Carina Mirabile that had fans riled up.

Ahhh. It’s finally time for the juiciest part of the season. REUNION TIME! And exes are bitter AF.
Four weeks after Final Vows, everyone from this year’s experiment is invited back for one final Dinner Party and one final moment on the ouch couch. This includes all the single folks, people who ran away from the experiment and those who made it to Final Vows.
One of the couples to make it to Final Vows was Carina Mirabile and Paul Anotine. While the pair were quite lovey dovey throughout the experiment, there were many moment where Paul made some major mistakes.

With all of these in mind, Carina brutally dumped Paul at Final Vows, despite the former Love Boat AU star wanting to continue their relationship in the real world.
After Carina made it clear that she didn’t want to stay with Paul, the Perth-based groom burst into tears and was crying uncontrollably.
With both Carina and Paul returning for the Reunion, Carina revealed that she feels quite anxious about seeing Paul.
“Final Vows was a very emotional day for me. The main reason why I ended things was Paul’s actions. Final Test Week was the final straw for me,” Carina shared.
“I feel hurt. I’ve gone through a heartbreak [over] him.”
While Carina was quite emotional over seeing Paul, the groom appeared to be extremely bitter over the whole shebang and even doubled down on his “snob” comment.
“I did feel betrayed by Carina at that point. I had suspicions that she had a lot of insecurities and that she obviously has crazy jealousy tendencies, and she proved my point at Final Vows,” Paul shared, completely forgetting about the wall punch incident.
“We all have insecurities, that’s fine, but don’t project all your insecurities onto me. That’s not fair. I haven’t done anything for it.
“There’s no hope at all, whatsoever, with me and Carina. She is a big snob.”
Further into the episode, during the Dinner Party, Carina and Paul finally get to tackle the reason behind their relationship’s demise in front of the group.
As Paul vented his feelings, he admitted that Carina’s rejection didn’t sit well with him since he apologised for going on the Plan B date. However, when he got home, he realised that he wasn’t as compatible with Carina.
“We’re not compatible but for a few reasons. Because you haven’t been able to take much criticism throughout the experiment and also, you can be extremely judgemental of certain people or certain situations — that doesn’t sit well with me,” Paul shared.
“That’s when I realised Carina has massive trust issues.”
In response to Paul’s response to Carina’s rejection, John Aiken said it was “remarkable” that the groom is “trying to rewrite history”.
“I’m genuinely surprised at Paul’s reaction tonight. I thought and kinda hoped he would be remorseful and apologetic… but he’s really defensive. He’s blaming. He’s on the front foot,” Aiken shared.
My two cents is that Paul is truly a bitter ex and can’t handle the fact that he was rejected by a goddess of a woman. Just take the L and walk on, mate. You didn’t even have to come to Reunion. After all, it appears that Morena Farina, Lauren Hall, Jake Luike and Tim Gromie all skipped, and you could’ve too.
But instead, you showed up and whinged about how Carina should’ve forgave you after you fucked up a million times.
