Fans React To Jacob Elordi Walking Around Barefoot In Byron Bay

Australia’s greatest hunk of spunk Jacob Elordi has seemingly sent international fans into a tizzy over a pretty normal Aussie habit.

I’ll give you a moment to figure it out…

It’s no secret that our boy, Jacob Elordi, is an Aussie. Every time someone from Down Under makes it big in Hollywood, we love to back them and shout from the rooftops that they’re from our neck of the woods.

Recently, the Saltburn actor reminded the whole world that he truly is an Aussie boy at heart after he was spotted walking around barefoot at a cafe north of Byron Bay.

In a TikTok shared by Blayne Hull, the actor can be seen leaving the coffee joint wearing a hoodie, shorts and no shoes.

“I’ve been beat for the best looking six foot plus, moustached Aussie in my local coffee shop this morning,” Hull wrote in text alongside footage of Elordi leaving the shop.

Although you’d think people would be more excited by an Elordi sighting, it was the fact that he was walking around with the dogs out that shook non-Australian fans to the core.

Immediately, fans who couldn’t grasp the idea of being barefoot in public flocked to the comment section, voicing their thoughts and feelings on the Priscilla actor’s lack of shoes.

“If someone came up to me with no shoes I’m sorry but I simply cannot,” one person wrote.

“The no shoes in Australia still sends me,” commented another fan.

“In the Clurb (Australia) we all Fam (don’t wear shoes),” wrote a third.

Some Aussie commenters also came to Elordi’s defence, stating that being barefoot is the norm here in Australia, especially in beachy areas like Byron.

“I’m loving the non-Aussies totally freaked by the no-shoes. Beach town = shoe-free zone,” one person wrote.

This isn’t the first time someone’s kicked up a fuss about Aussies going barefoot in public. A while back, both an Italian and British TikToker (in separate videos) flamed Aussies for letting their toes breathe in public, sharing that kind of behaviour back home would be considered absolutely bonkers.

Look, I have my thoughts on walking around barefoot — especially in the city — but if I’m down at the beach the dogs are being released!
