Eye-opening truth on why millions of people want to move to Australia – as immigration continues to soar

A young man from Indonesia on a working holiday visa in Australia now earns in just two days what would be an entire month’s salary back home.

Working as a cleaner at a shopping centre, the young man reflected on the bold decision to move to Australia, and how it changed his life forever in a video shared to social media.

‘One month in Australia has given me some of the best experiences of my life,’ he said.

‘At 23, I never imagined working in another country and being welcomed so warmly. I’m truly grateful.’

He also revealed that he can earn up to $60 per hour on public holidays.

The young man explained that he keeps his living costs low by sharing a room, paying $130 a week with all bills included.

‘As a working holiday visa holder working 40 plus hours a week, I can enjoy my lifestyle, save money, and even send some back to my family in Indonesia. I’m truly grateful for everything I have right now.’

‘Your pay for two days is the same as your one month salary in Indonesia.’

In one of his videos, he shows himself working hard – cleaning toilets, sweeping, and pushing his cleaning cart around the shopping center.

The young man’s inspirational attitude and strong work ethic have been applauded by Aussies.

‘This guy is a legend in every sense of the word,’ one wrote.

‘Thank you for coming here and contributing so much! Your work is appreciated,’ a second said.

That’s significantly higher than the 260,000 level forecast for this financial year in the May Budget.

Nonetheless, it forecast net overseas migration slowing over the next three years, predicting 225,000 arrivals in 2026-27 and another 225,000 in 2027-28.
