A former employee of the Kardashian family told how, instead of a bonus, she received a free sample of the cream from her superiors.
Jessica DeFino revealed that she worked from 2015 to 2016 as an assistant for digital media company Whalerock Industries, which was hired by the Kardashian-Jenner family to create its apps.
She said she worked hard from the start to prove to her superiors that she deserved a “promotion, a change of position, whatever,” and was soon recognized as Employee of the Week. However, instead of the expected bonus or salary increase, Jessica was rewarded with a free sample of face cream.
Jessica was also quoted by The Mirror. “I received a free sample of Crème de la Mer for £145. If only I could have paid my landlord luxury skincare products.”
DeFino also said that working with the Kardashian family wasn’t easy — “a little money, a lot of hours and a lot of stress,” while another former employee added that the company had a “toxic work environment.”
This story was inspired by Jessica’s recent statement to Kim Kardashian, in which she lamented “Nobody wants to work these days” and advised women to “get up and work.”
