Everyone’s saying the same thing about Tom Brady’s bizarre cameo on FOX Sports

Social media is slamming FOX Sports for using a hologram version of color commentator and former quarterback Tom Brady during their NFL pre-game show.

Once again, the network decided to project an image of Brady into their studio show as a hologram after that technology was previously lambasted by fans earlier this year.

Brady is in his first year of a ten-year, $375million contract as part of FOX’s No.1 commentary team with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was in Chicago to broadcast the game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.

But that didn’t stop FOX from projecting Brady’s image into their studio for some pre-game analysis.

The faux Brady interacted with studio show host Curt Menefee and analysts Rob Gronkowski and Michael Strahan.

In the broadcast, the cameras rarely cut to a close up on the Brady-gram, but there was at least one time where the image of Brady appeared to glitch-out briefly shrinking him (around the 1:12-1:13 mark of the video above).

Much like the first time that this technology was used, fans on social media didn’t enjoy the Brady-gram again.

‘Hologram Tom Brady is terrifying,’ wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

‘It wasn’t the greatest,’ wrote a second user while another posted, ‘They shouldn’t do [that]. Looks & sounds dumb.’

Another mocked the FOX show, saying, ‘Nobody’s watching this with or without the hologram’.

It’s been a long 2024 for Brady as he gets used to his first NFL season in a broadcast booth. After a hiccup in the first week, he’s seemed to have been improving as the weeks go by.
