Everton’s recent transformation has been nothing short of extraordinary.

They are a team that has been bashed over, and over, and over again for the past few years. For Everton fans, it’s not exactly been fun.

At the moment though, they are having the time of their lives.

I have the displeasure of knowing a lot of Toffees and I have never seen them so happy. Normally they have lost their voices from booing at the end of the 90 minutes, but now it’s from cheering and singing.

I’m only joking about the displeasure part, by the way, they are OK… I guess.

The feel-good factor around the club at the moment is all down to one man, and that’s David Moyes.

Many felt his appointment was an uninspiring one last month. I mean, he had been there and done it with Everton before, why would they potentially ruin his legacy by bringing him back?

Well, he is not ruining anything. Everton are flying, they have won 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five Premier League games which is the best form of anybody in the top flight.

They are not scared of anyone right now, not least a Manchester United side who are in a very bad way, to say the least.

There are practically no fears of relegation on Merseyside these days, if anything Moyes has his sights on the top half.

They will take another huge step toward it if they win today…
