Elon’s VERY different baby mamas: How Musk has welcomed 13 children with polar opposite women from ‘anti-trophy’ first wife to techno singer Grimes and a MAGA influencer half his age

Elon Musk has become as well known for his huge – and every growing – brood of children than for his business acumen.

The owner of X, formerly Twitter, is believed to have welcomed his 13th child last year with MAGA influencer Ashley St Clair.

It’s perhaps no surprise that Elon, 53, has allegedly welcomed a new child. The South African billionaire has said it’s his duty to combat under-population.   

A female friend of Musk’s recently told The Mail on Sunday: ‘He will keep fathering children for as long as he can and he’s only 53 so technically he could keep going for another 30 years. He sees it as his mission to repopulate the earth, single-handedly if necessary.’

With his first wife Justine Wilson, he welcomed six children, on of whom died at 10 weeks old.

He then had three with former partner Grimes and three more with his Neuralink employee Shivon Zillis.

Musk is yet to comment on the legitimacy of Ashley’s claims, but if true, the child will be his 13th.  

Elon’s baby mother’s are all very different and each met Trump’s right-hand man in wildly different circumstances.

Justine Wilson

Before meeting her first husband, Justine Wilson, now 52,  had dreams of becoming a successful novelist and making it big in her home country of Canada. 

Justine was born and raised in Ontario and met Musk while studying at the English Literature at Queen’s University in Ontario.

Quiet and from a normal Canadian family, Justine had little interest in romance with the brash South African from a wealthy mining family.   

Speaking about their first interaction, Justine explained that Elon had invited her out for ice cream after pretending to have met at a party previously. 

She turned him down but he remained  persistent and turned up at her desk as she studied with two melting cones of ice cream. 

Writing in Marie Claire, she said that Musk is ‘not a man who takes no for an answer’.

Despite this, she kept rejecting him and after graduating she moved to Japan to teach English as a second language.

She eventually move to California, and took odd jobs working in bars while trying to make it as an authour.

At the same time, Musk had moved to California to make it in Silicon Valley. The pair reconnected and she agreed to go on a date with the SpaceX founder – a decision that would change her life.

Elon’s net worth had sky-rocketed to $20million. He soon asked Justine to move in with him.

While Elon focused on building his business empire, Justine worked on her writing but after the two got hitched, their dynamic suddenly changed. 

Elon revealed he was keen to start a large family and on their wedding night told his new bride that he was the alpha in their relationship.  

After getting married in 2000, the couple welcomed their first baby, a son called Nevada Alexander.

But tragically, just ten weeks later, their little baby died from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

Despite the devastating loss, Justine and Elon continued growing their family and two months later began trying for another baby through IVF.

Over the next five years, Justine became the mother to twins Griffin and Xavier, born in 2004.

In 2022, Xavier came out as transgender and changed their name to Vivian and removing Musk as her surname, revealing she was distancing herself from her father. 

After another round of IVF, Justine welcomed triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian in 2006.

While raising her five children she also published three novels – BloodAngel, Uninvited and Lord of Bones.

By 2008, the marriage had broken down.

Justine said she didn’t like how their marriage had evolved and she no longer felt like a partner but a disappointment. 

‘I had turned into a trophy wife – and I sucked at it,’ she said. 

‘I wasn’t detail-oriented enough to maintain a perfect house or be a perfect hostess. I could no longer hide my boredom when the men talked and the women smiled and listened.’

‘I wasn’t interested in Botox or makeup or reducing the appearance of the scars from my C-sections. 

‘And no matter how many highlights I got, Elon pushed me to be blonder. “Go platinum,” he kept saying, and I kept refusing.’

Since her divorce from the newly appointed head of the Department of Efficiency (Doge), the novelist has said she doesn’t interact with Elon on any level and if she needs to discuss their children, she communicates through an assistant. They share custody.

Of all his baby mother’s, Justine is the only one he was married to.

Two years after their divorce, Musk married British actress Talulah Riley, now 39, but the pair didn’t have any children.

The couple first married in 2010, divorcing two years later, before getting married again in 2013 – only to split in 2016.

The Hemel Hempstead-born star, best known for her role in St Trinian’s and Westworld, lived with Musk’s five children.

Grimes

After breaking up with Tallulah Riley, Musk dated Amber Heard, who he had reportedly been ‘pursuing since 2012’.

After the pair broke up, he struck up a relationship with Grimes, they now share three children.      

The singer, 36, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, was born  in Vancouver, and  began a music career, after dropping out of one of the county’s top universities.   

In contrast to the seemingly straight-laced, thin, blonde ‘trophy-wife’ Justine, Grimes has admitted to using hard drugs to help with her creativity and described episodes of arduous and dangerous methods to help her connect with her music. 

But the musician, who is heavily influenced by sci-fi, has come under intense scrutiny for identifying as ‘female-ish’ while also praising the patriarchy. 

In an interview with UNILAD, Grimes said she ‘kinda like[s] the patriarchy’, adding that it had been a vehicle for civilisation although she admitted it was ‘sort of oppressive’ before countering that ‘almost all the systems of modernity [are] broken’.

The singer met the tech tycoon in 2018 on X, then known as Twitter, after discovering they had made a similar joke about AI.

Two years later the My Name Is Dark singer had given birth to the couple’s first child together.

The sci-fi obsessed duo named him X Æ A-12, but were forced to change it after  California stated it violated naming regulations because it contained characters that are not included in the modern English alphabet leading them to change their little boy’d name to X Æ A-Xii.

In 2021, Grimes and Elon welcomed a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate but a year later the couple ‘semi-separated’.

Despite their unconventional relationship, Grimes called her partner her boyfriend but added: ‘We’re very fluid.’

Although the pair were partially separated, they welcomed another son via surrogate, Techno Mechanicus, known as Tao in 2022.

Just months later the couple’s relationship had broken down irretrievably and Grimes sued the billionaire in September 2023 over parental rights to their children in a California court. 

But Elon counter-sued, asking for custody of the three children after he learned the youngest two would not be returning to his home in Texas and that Grimes was keeping them in California.

Grimes sued Elon again in San Francisco, asking for primary physical custody of all three children and requesting X be returned to her. 

Shortly after that, Grimes publicly pleaded for parental access to X after seeing a photo of Elon with his new partner Shivon Zilis and their two children.

Most recently, in response to seeing her eldest son’s appearance at the Oval Office where he was paraded in front of President Donald Trump and the world’s media, she criticised her former partner, writing on X: ‘He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.’

Shivon Zillis

Shivon, 39, like Justine and Grimes was also born in Canada, before moving south of the border to study at Yale University where she studied economics and philosophy.

After graduating in 2008, the mother-of-three worked for IBM in New York where she focused on developing financial technology for economically growing countries including Peru and Indonesia. 

In 2018, she began working at Tesla where she specialised in the computer chip design for the electric car’s autopilot feature before transitioning in to a role on the board of Elon’s brain tech firm Neuralink.

She also worked on the board of Open AI and it was there that she met her current partner. 

The tech exec’s relationship with the billionaire was first revealed when she gave birth to twins Strider and Azure in 2021 at the same time that Elon was getting ready to welcome a second child with his ex-girlfriend Grimes.

Grimes is thought to have only found out Elon was the father of Shivon’s twins a month after they were born and spoke out about her outrage at finding out at the time the public did.

And their pair’s relationship remains as serious as ever with Elon moving his business partner to his sprawling $35 million compound in Austin, Texas, in October 2023 that the billionaire had originally purchased with the intention of moving in 11 of his children to live together.

In June last year, the billionaire confirmed he had welcomed a third child with his new partner – currently the director of operations and special projects at Neuralink – but kept the baby’s name and gender a secret.

Like his previous baby mama Grimes, the two both enjoy gaming and space with  Business Insider reporting that the couple a passion for fantasy games and Shivon previously posted on X: ‘the fact that a visually rich and dynamic world can live and come alive on a laptop is insane. 

‘We’re so normalised to the magic of gaming. But, when you step back and think about it, it’s absolutely wild.’

And Elon’s passion for games such as Elden Ring is so intense, he reportedly stays up until 5.30am playing. 

Unlike Elon’s first two baby mamas, Shivon continues to work with the tech tycoon in his businesses and has so far eschewed the life of the trophy wife Justine hated so passionately, regularly posting on social media about her work in Tesla and Neuralink.

She is also a sharp contrast to Grimes, focusing on the couple’s shared business ventures rather than her own creative career.  

Ashley St. Clair 

Ashley St Clair, 26,  is known for her alt-right political beliefs and as a MAGA influencer espousing US President Donald Trump’s pro-America rhetoric on social media.

But on Valentines Day, following her bombshell claim, the influencer has joined the ranks as Elon’s fourth ‘baby mama’ after she sensationally claimed she shared a five-month old baby the Tesla billionaire.

The political commentator and the author of conservative children books, Ashley is also a longtime writer for the Babylon Bee – a right-wing version of satirical website The Onion.

Ashley, who is Jewish, first gave her Twitter followers rare insight into her upbringing in a 2019 tweet, where she recalled how her mother went ‘from feeding a family of four on $0.60 a day, eating cornstarch and water & drinking powdered milk to being a top business leader’.

She has also claimed that her parents got divorced when she was a child, and that her mother and siblings were pushed into poverty and subsisted on ‘food stamps’ after her father left.

Despite her difficult childhood, Ashley now lives in a swanky Manhattan apartment, costing up to an estimated $15,000 per month.

One resident of the exclusive condo tower, which has been home to VIPs and celebrities, said Ashley was the first person he knew to get a Tesla Cybertruck.

Neighbours also described how the influencer was seemingly living as a single mother, but had a full-time nanny looking after her two children: Elon’s alleged baby and a toddler from her previous relationship.

Before allegedly welcoming her love child with X owner five months ago, Ashley gave birth son to a son in 2021 with ex-boyfriend and New York based chiropractor Dr Johnny Alexander.
