Eight Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. Two District Reserve Guard personnel were injured. An Insas rifle and a barrel grenade launcher were among the recovered weapons. The operation was launched following information about Maoist presence. Further search operations are ongoing, and more ultras may have been killed or injured.
