The Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Misr El Kheir Foundation signed architectural design contracts to establish two centers of excellence in renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Minya and Aswan governorates, and contracts for construction and rehabilitation work for two technical secondary schools, within the framework of the activities of the “Promoting Technical Education” project. The Deputy Minister added that centers of excellence are an important part of the strategy for developing technical education, He thanked the “Misr Al Khair” Foundation, the strategic partner of the Ministry of Education.
For his part, Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, confirmed that the centers of excellence were carefully selected according to geographical distribution. And the development map for Egypt 2030, where supporting industries were taken into account in each geographical region to assist industrial and economic activities in that region. Dr. Amr Basila added that the Centers of Excellence will have an important role in graduating technicians distinguished by skill and technology in the economic fields that support and influence the Egyptian economy as a whole, noting that the Ministry is working according to specialized studies in cooperation with civil society, the private sector, and development partners for technical education from the European Union and America.
