Eagles deliver update on wide receiver A.J. Brown’s injury ahead of Falcons clash on Monday Night Football
The Philadelphia Eagles are still in the dark on wide receiver A.J. Brown’s status for Monday’s game against the visiting Atlanta Falcons as he deals with a new hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old made a surprise appearance on Friday’s injury report and was a limited participant at each of the last two practices.
Sunday is an off day for the Eagles as they rest up for Week 2’s Monday Night Football matchup.
‘Just got a little tight in practice yesterday,’ Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said on Saturday morning. ‘We’ll see how that goes.’
Brown had five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown in Philadelphia’s 34-29 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 6 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Brown has 384 receptions for 6,066 yards and 43 touchdowns in 78 career games (70 starts) with the Tennessee Titans (2019-21) and Eagles.
DeVonta Smith and newcomer Jahan Dotson would see a larger workload should Brown sit out or be limited against the Falcons (0-1).
‘That guy gets unfairly judged because he doesn’t have the opportunities that other people get,’ Sirianni said of Dotson. ‘I feel really good about Jahan. I mean, first-round pick, obviously, we traded for him and feel really good about him.
‘He’s a smooth route runner, everything like that. I just think sometimes that position (the No. 3 receiver in the offense) is unfairly judged at times just because they don’t get the opportunities these other guys are gonna get.’
