Donald Trump reveals who he’s backing for the Masters after skipping major at Augusta National

President Donald Trump has revealed his pick to win The Masters this weekend – he is rooting for everyone.

Trump did not play favorites, with some expecting him to back someone like Bryson DeChambeau, who appeared with him on stage after he secured the election win over Kamala Harris last November.

Trump is an avid golfer, taking time of from his duties in the Oval Office to play on the links at his courses around the country.

‘They’re all friends of mine. They have some great ones. Scottie Scheffler’s great. Bryson [DeChambeau] is great. Justin Rose, they’re all friends of mine,’ Trump said aboard Air Force One on Friday.

‘It’s going to be a very good Masters. Looks like it’s going to be a very good Masters. Some fantastic golfers at the top.’

Trump has not stated whether he would attend the Masters himself, with his appearance at the Super Bowl being publicized beforehand.

President Trump’s assessment of The Masters’ leaderboard is accurate, as tons of star power from the sport are within striking distance of a Green Jacket.

Rose is in the lead at 8-under-par with DeChambeau in second, one stroke behind.

Corey Conners and Rory McIlroy are tied for third at 6-under-par with the quartet of Scottie Scheffler, Tyrrell Hatton, Matt McCarthy, and Shane Lowry just behind at 5-under.

Those eight players have combined for 10 major championships, with Scheffler also being the top-ranked golfer in the world.

A Scheffler win would make him the first repeat champion at The Masters since Tiger Woods, who is not playing in the tournament due to injury, pulled off the feat in 2001 and 2002.
