Doctors announce escalation steps in the event that the government does not submit to the amendments to the Medical Liability Law
The Medical Syndicate sent an appeal to its male and female members, inviting them to participate in their opinion on the agenda of the Extraordinary General Assembly scheduled for next Friday, January 3, 2025. And asking them to express their desire for the proposed amendment to the draft medical liability law to include the following: “Limiting imprisonment to medical negligence.” Serious – Financial compensation in the event of a medical error – Cancellation of pretrial detention – Medical liability committees are the technical expert for investigation and litigation authorities – The insurance fund bears all Compensation.
Escalation steps in the event of failure to respond to these demands:
1. Placing leaflets in private medical facilities explaining to citizens the just demands of doctors.
2. Suspending work in private clinics on Saturdays every week starting January 18, 2025.
3. Suspending work in medical centers and private hospitals, except for emergencies, on Saturdays every week, starting from February 1, 2025.
4. Reasonable resignation of the general and subsidiary councils of doctors’ unions.
