Do YOU think Charli XCX looks like she spent $50,000 on plastic surgery? Surgeon claims Brat star shelled out for FOUR key procedures to transform her looks
She’s one of Britain’s biggest popstars after her ‘Brat summer’ trend catapulted her into the spotlight this year.
But it’s not just Charli XCX’s music that’s attracted attention: Cosmetic surgeons have also taken notice of her face.
Or more specifically, how its changed over the years.
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, has previously admitted to undergoing cosmetic ‘tweakments’ including Botox.
Now, Dr Gary Linkov, a top US plastic surgeon based in New York, estimates Charli XCX has spent a whopping $58,000 (£44,400) on plastic surgery including a $20,000 (£15,300) brow-lift.

In a YouTube video that has amassed 12,000 views, Dr Linkov suggested she may have had cosmetic work including a nose job, fillers, Botox and even a lateral brow lift.
A lateral brow lift is a non-surgical procedure that involves a short incision hidden within the hair, tightening the skin above and below the brows and lifting them.
Exploring her transformation over the last decade, the medic compared a photo of Charli in 2012, aged 20, where she has ‘full brows’, balanced lower and upper lips and a nose with natural ‘bulbosity’ and a roundness at the point.
The, examining images of the Boom Clap singer in 2014, when she was 22, he notes she also has a ‘very youthful eye area’ and ‘naturally higher brow position’.
But by 2018, now 26, he said she may have had a tip rhinoplasty, given the ‘tip of her nose looks more refined’ and ‘narrower’.
A tip rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, involves an operation either performed from inside the nostrils — a closed rhinoplasty — or by making a small cut on the nose.
By breaking and repositioning the side nasal bone, a surgeon can also reduce the width of the nose and achieve a narrower appearance.
‘That incision, if closed properly, usually heals very nicely and it’s very difficult to tell if someone’s had an open vs closed approach,’ Dr Linkov said.
Comparing photos of her face then in 2019, aged 27, he also suggested the star may have had lip filler.
‘There is now improved balance between Charli’s upper lip and bottom lip,’ he added.
Her youthful look, at 28, could also be down to anti-wrinkle injections like Botox around her eyes and forehead, Dr Linkov said, which relaxes the muscles in the face to smooth out lines and wrinkles.
He added: ‘I think she may have started to get neurotoxin to her forehead — I’m seeing fewer wrinkles there as well as possibly to the glabella.’
This is the area between the nose and eyebrows, both commonly targeted by Botox.
In January 2023, Charli took to TikTok to share that she was hoping to receive a Grammy nomination, and made a not-so-subtle hint about anti-wrinkle injections.
She captioned the video: ‘Need more Botox before accepting any awards tho.’
A final change to her face was seen earlier this year, at 32, Dr Linkov said, speculating that she may have had a lateral brow lift — sometimes referred to as the cat eye lift. Even with a fresh face her eyes appear to have a lifted shape (right), as pictured above in 2024
In 2014, at the age of 22 (pictured left), he notes she also has a ‘very youthful eye area’ and ‘naturally higher brow position’. Despite its popularity, surgeons have previously suggested that using filler at a young age carries multiple risks, including having stretched skin that sags earlier than normal.

The singer has previously been pictured wearing face tape to emilite a snatched look on the red carpet.
While attending the December 2023 Fashion Awards in London, she was pictured wearing neon yellow tape on her temples, lifting her brows.
But now the lateral brow ‘appears to be in a more lifted position’ permanently, Dr Linkov noted.
‘Lifting the lateral portion of the brow means it is possible to also lift the lateral portion of the eye itself.
‘I’m seeing increased distance from the tail of her brow to where the hairline starts, suggesting a potential surgical temporal or lateral brow lift,’ he added.
‘It also looks to me like the lips are more projected and that’s one of the effects that filler has.

‘While lip filler can improve lip hydration, it also anteriorly projects the lips.
‘Keep in mind that filler can disperse into other areas. If you’ve injected it into the lip, sometimes it can end up going above the border.’
But, he added: ‘I think Charli’s lip filler is not overly exaggerated.’
Cosmetic surgery experts have previously speculated Charli may also have undergone a fox eye lift procedure.
Professor Ullas Raghavan, a facial plastic surgeon at Pall Mall Medical told MailOnline: ‘When comparing latest photos to earlier ones, there’s a noticeable elevation in the outer corners of her eyes that wasn’t there before.
‘This kind of lift is often achieved through a combination of surgical techniques and cosmetic treatments, such as threads or minor incisions that pull the skin upward.’
He also however admitted that she does strategically apply her eyeliner to enhance and emphasise the lifted look, which could enhance any cosmetic treatments.
The fox-eye procedure, which costs up to £700, is achieved when the eyebrows are angled upwards.
Clinics claim this non-invasive procedure can take as little as 30 minutes and has minimal downtime with with mild swelling and bruising for up to two weeks.
