Details of the doctors’ meeting with Comprehensive Health Insurance to integrate the clinics into the system
The head of the Physicians Syndicate received Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, at the headquarters of the General Union, a delegation from the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, which included the Vice President of the Authority, Dr. Ihab Abu Aish, Executive Director of the Authority, Mai Farid, and Head of the Central Administration for Service Providers, Dr. Heba Atef, and Director General of the General Administration of Health Economics, Dr. Ahmed Siam, in the presence of the Treasurer of the General Syndicate of Doctors and the Rapporteur of the Medical Facilities Committee, Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Qadi.
This meeting comes at the invitation of the General Syndicate of Physicians, Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, in response to the request of many doctors in the governorates where the comprehensive health insurance system is implemented, to discuss how to integrate private clinics for doctors, whether general practitioners, or specialist doctors and consultants, in those governorates, and contract with them to be health service providers, such as primary care centers and health insurance clinics. Comprehensive.
During the meeting, it was agreed to organize an open symposium on Tuesday next week, November 12, 2024, at two in the afternoon, at the headquarters of the General Syndicate of Physicians, in the presence of officials from the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, and doctors interested in contracting with the Health Insurance Authority. To discuss the method and terms of contracting, and the cooperation and integration of all service providers in the new system.
This symposium is scheduled to be broadcast on the official page of the General Syndicate of Egyptian Doctors, on its page on the social networking site Facebook, and to open the door for remote participation for doctors interested in contracting.
