Derek Chisora gatecrashes Big John’s birthday celebrations with the ‘Romford Bull’ before joining David Haye at high-profile art event
Derek Chisora made an unexpected appearance at Big John Fisher’s birthday celebration at Sheesh restaurant, surprising the father of rising boxing star Johnny Fisher during his evening out.
The heavyweight boxer turned up during Big John’s meal, adding an extra layer of excitement to the occasion before the group headed to a high-profile art event later that night.
Chisora could be seen sneaking up to the table before grabbing Big John on the shoulder. The father of the Romford Bull turned around in shock before embracing the 40-year-old.
It wasn’t long before Chisora pulled up a chair alongside Big John and his son – who will return to action on December 21 in Saudi Arabia on the undercard of Tyson’s Fury’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
The fight marks the first time Johnny has fought since his surgery – having undergone the knife after tearing his bicep ahead of his international heavyweight contest with Andriy Rudenko.

Chisora, Haye and Big John aren’t the only boxing stars to have enjoyed the food at Sheesh. Conor Benn was recently pictured at the resutrant while the likes of Chris Eubank Snr, Tommy Fury, Prince Naseem Hamed and the Gypsy King have also been seen at the establishment.
Nevertheless, Saturday night’s celebration continued at the launch of the Sequin & Kinch ICONS Collection, a new and highly anticipated art project showcasing painted portraits of four iconic women: Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra, Beyonce, Princess Diana, and Veronica Lake.
Held at the same venue, Sheesh, the launch party attracted a mix of art enthusiasts and celebrities, with Chisora, Johnny Fisher, and his father mingling among the crowd.
Also in attendance was former heavyweight champion David Haye, who joined the Fishers and Chisora in viewing the collection – created by artists Sequin Kay and Gerry Kinch.

The portraits combined classical painting techniques with modern embellishments, including hundreds of thousands of Swarovski crystals which were individually applied by hand.
The pieces highlighted the cultural impact of these legendary women. Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra portrait stood out for its vibrant fusion of pigments and crystals, capturing both the allure and strength of the historical figure.
Beyonce’s portrait, larger than life to match her towering presence in the music world, radiated energy and power, enhanced by the shimmering crystals that mirrored the intensity of her performances.
The more delicate portrait of Princess Diana struck a different tone, reflecting her grace and sensitivity while maintaining a sense of mystique. Gerry Kinch, who took particular care in honouring the legacy of the ‘People’s Princess,’ noted that balancing the reverence people hold for Diana with the raw emotions her story evokes was a challenge.

The event marked the debut of this unique art collection, which aims to celebrate the strength, resilience, and cultural influence of women throughout history. With notable guests from the boxing world in attendance, the evening saw a rare convergence of sport and art.
