Today, Saturday, Dr. Hisham Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor of Luxor, witnessed a public meeting in the village of Al-Baghdadi in the Naga Amroun district of the center and city of Bayadiya, under the auspices of Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara, Governor of Luxor, as a continuation of the awareness campaigns that roam the villages and hamlets to confront negative phenomena and spread the positive ones. The meeting was attended by hundreds of people. The people of the village, within the framework of the activities of the “Zawaher” initiative to reduce negativity.
In his speech, the Deputy Governor of Luxor explained that the villages and hamlets have very high religious motivation thanks to the presence of squares, roads, sheikhs, and offices for memorizing the Qur’an, and they have values, principles, ethics, and the men of Al-Azhar, but in reality there are some negative phenomena that must be eliminated, which are alien to our country and our society.
Dr. Hisham Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor of Luxor, added that negative phenomena are the responsibility of the father and mother to change society into a better image, to prevent images that harm Egyptian society, including phenomena of declining cleanliness, accidents and harassment, stressing that the respect of the young for the elder is a prevailing characteristic in the countryside in Luxor Governorate, which plays a role. He is important in disseminating the goals of the Zawaher Initiative to promote positive values, expressing his happiness with the public attendance of men, women, children, youth and girls, and distributing some brochures to them that include Awareness advice, as the Deputy Governor of Luxor was accompanied by Dr. Salah Rashwan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Luxor, and a number of imams from the Endowments Directorate in Luxor, headed by Sheikh Amin Al-Dardir Qenawi.
It is noteworthy that the Phenomena Initiative has two axes: awareness and societal responsibility, and aims to reduce negative phenomena, advance youth thinking, raise community awareness, and promote positive behaviors such as tolerance, cooperation, and discipline through educational and cultural programs, and providing preventive programs targeting groups most vulnerable to negative phenomena, such as youth and children, and building a conscious generation. It contributes to building and developing society, with the participation of many parties to support the initiative, such as Luxor and Thebes Technological Universities, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Egyptian Church, and the Directorates of Endowments, Social Solidarity, Youth, and Sports. Education, the National Council for Women, the Egyptian Public Library, and the Palaces of Culture.
