Deputy Al-Azhar: The Holy Qur’an is the source of good deeds and blessings

Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, participated today, Saturday, in the opening of the thirty-first edition of the International Holy Qur’an Competition, which is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, and under the chairmanship of  Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, in the presence of Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Ali Gomaa, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and a group of scholars and religious leaders.

The Undersecretary of Al-Azhar said that the Holy Qur’an is the source of good things, It is the source of blessings, around it we gather, by its rulings we adhere, to its commands we submit, and under its guidance we work, explaining that this noble book is the one that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, described as one that he cannot be satisfied with. scholars, and whims are not distracted by it, and it does not create frequent response, and its wonders do not end. It is the strong rope of God, the Wise Remembrance, and the straight path. Whoever rules by it is just, and whoever acts according to it will be rewarded, and whoever says it is truthful, and whoever calls to it will be guided to a straight path.

The representative of Al-Azhar explained that we live in a time in which we must rally around The Qur’an, not only by reciting its verses and controlling its words, but also by understanding its purposes and objectives, which are too numerous to count, enumerate, and encompass, stressing that the Holy Qur’an has established effective solutions to the problems of our contemporary reality, and has prescribed curative medicines for the ailments of souls and minds, just as God Almighty has declared that it is one of the powerful reasons for achieving The unity of the nation, and we warned against division and difference, the causes leading to them, and the consequences resulting from them.

Wakil drew attention to Al-Azhar pointed out that the conflict between peoples, nations and their sects is not limited only to military conflict, but rather it is a conflict for the feelings of the peoples of the nation to change so that some of them do not feel the pain of the other, or for some of them to be reassured of their security and sufficiency without seeing others hungry, besieged and threatened, saying, “No.” I know why some people insist on division and difference, and we do not realize, as individuals and peoples, that what we hate in The group is better than what we like about the group; In community there is mercy and in disunity there is punishment.”

Dr. Al-Duwaini added that if the world suffers from a moral impurity that seeks to infect society at its solid core, and tries to replace the legitimate family and chastity with an abnormality that opposes the law of nature and common sense, they falsely call it homosexuality. Or freedom; For the Qur’an says to them: “Rather, you are a hostile people,” and if the world is suffering from unjust and reckless wars that afflict countries of peace, which have neither a camel nor a camel in war; For the Qur’an says: {And We made you into peoples and tribes that you may know each other}.

The representative of Al-Azhar confirmed that the Noble Qur’an is a permanent work whose reward will last forever until the Day of Resurrection comes as an intercessor for its companions, and it is the eternal and remaining miracle that protects the nation. From temptation, it protects its children from blindness, and to the extent the nation clings to it, it remains dear. He explained that the repetition of the Qur’an came to remind us that we are a nation with a history, and that no matter how ill-intentioned people try to falsify our history or distort our thoughts, our identity is as solid as the smelling mountains, and the eloquence of its words and the sweetness of its words remind us of what we must do. We use it with a straight tongue and sweet Arabic, even though His verses remind us of the morals that we must have, and his commands remind us that we are a nation of knowledge and work, and that we went out to the people carrying goodness for them in doctrine, law, and behavior.

The representative of Al-Azhar explained that if reality witnesses a deliberate distortion of every beautiful thing, its bitter effects will appear. There is strangeness and foreignness in the Arabic language, there is deviation and distortion in behavior and morals, and there is targeting and killing in the geography of the land by a sinful, criminal gang. History refuses to accept it, and the ground refuses to settle under its feet.  In light of this atmosphere charged with pain, the Holy Qur’an comes as a book of faith, moral and human values, a source of morals and perfections, an abundance of beauty, beauty and splendor, and an explanation of the reasons for glory, victory and sovereignty. Perhaps this competition will open for us doors of attachment to the Book of God. So that we may have within us, as God intended, a strong rope that will protect the nation from division and diaspora, and a straight path in which steps are not crooked.

The representative of Al-Azhar congratulated the memorizers of the Qur’an and its people for the lights of revelation they have with them, and for the good relationship they have with those who recite its words. Giving them good news of their status before God. They are God’s family and His special ones, just as he congratulated their families for their status with God. Expressing his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Endowments: the leadership and scientific and artistic committees for this fine effort, in organizing the thirty-first edition of the International Holy Qur’an Competition, in the service of the Book of God, the people of the Qur’an, and our dear Egypt.
