D. Abdel Moneim Fouad: Racism is an issue that worries humanity, and Islam has fought it with all severity
Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad explained that the concept of racism has no basis in the teachings of Islam or in the dictionary of Muslims. The Holy Qur’an warned against racism, indicating that the first person to establish it was Satan, may God’s curse be upon him, when God Almighty commanded him. By prostrating to Adam, peace be upon him, God Almighty said: " Then the angels prostrated, all of them together (73) Except Satan, he was arrogant and was one of the disbelievers.” He refused, saying: “He said, ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire and you created him from clay,’” as he considered himself better than him, and did not adhere to the etiquette of obedience towards his Creator, and the penalty for this behavior was that he said God Almighty told him: “He said, ‘Then get out of it, for you will be accursed.’” Hence, the racist person should meditate on the story of Satan and consider it.
Dr. Fouad added that racism is an issue that worries humanity, and Islam has fought it with all severity, stressing that humans They are all equal, as if they were the teeth of a comb, and there is no difference between an Arab and a non-Arab except by piety and good deeds. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, explained this fact by saying: “All of you are from Adam, and Adam is from dust,” as God Almighty said, “ O people, We created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most pious of you.” He pointed out that racism is an ancient phenomenon Even in the most advanced countries, discrimination between whites and blacks continues to exist, and this racial discrimination is one of them The causes of conflicts and wars throughout history, until the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent the message of Islam that purified the minds and liberated humanity from this social scourge.
He stressed that Islam emphasized equality among all people, indicating that Islam is not a local religion, but rather a message Universality that enhances human dignity and raises his status, as God Almighty said: “And We have honored the children of Adam and carried them on land and sea and provided them with good things and favored them over many of those whom We created preferably.
