Cult UK Aldi item is finally coming to Australia after fans begged for it

Aldi Australia has delighted local shoppers by stocking a favourite that sold out in the UK last year.

The Bluey Plush Chair, $39.99, went viral on TikTok last year after Aldi’s UK Bluey event, with adults racing to snap up the ‘adorable’ buy.

Aussie customers will be able to score one from Wednesday, as the supermarket introduces Bluey Special Buys, with the cheapest product in the range being just $7.99.

The range will include toys to recreate special moments from the popular animated kids TV show, including Bluey’s Fishing with Grandad Play Set ($9.99) and the Bluey Boombox ($14.99).

The boombox will allow kids to to activate ‘dance mode’ and enjoy sing-along fun to the show’s iconic tunes.

Aldi is also offering escape packages for families to visit Bluey’s World in Brisbane for $699 (valued up to $1600).

It’s not the first popular product that Aldi has reprised this year, having also brought back its cast-iron cookware range that’s been compared to high-end French brand Le Creuset.

The Crofton cookware collection returned to the Special Buys middle aisle on March 12 and shoppers are still spotting pieces in stores across the country.

The range features a 24cm frypan ($9.99), 40cm frypan ($12.99) mini pots and pans ($4.99), containers ($9.99) and kitchen utensils ($1.99).

The inital run of the cookware sparked frenzied buying that soon saw the range sell out – and it seems likely to happen this time too.

The affordable products have been likened to the look and quality of Le Creuset, which costs hundreds of dollars.

The $4.99 mini pan looks similar to the $410 Le Creuset Signature Cast Iron Saucepan while the $9.99 frypan resembles the $320 Le Creuset Signature Cast Iron Frying Pan.

The cookware range was launched in red, green and blue, and the containers and utensils are dishwasher safe.

The pans and pots are designed with a non-stick interior coating and will level-up any kitchen without breaking the bank.
