Competition qualifiers start "Spelling bee" In the educational departments in North Sinai, Al-Azhariya

The qualifiers for the national project “Spelling Bee” competition were launched in the North Sinai Al-Azhar region for students graduating from educational departments in the primary stage, within the framework of the educational programs launched by the Al-Azhar institutes sector.

The competition aims to develop students’ skills and enhance the spirit of competition among them in the field of English language, and is part of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s efforts to develop the capabilities of students of Al-Azhar institutes.

Abdel Azim Attia, Director General of Cultural Materials and Student Care, explained that the competition is being held in its second season for the 2024/2025 academic year under the supervision of the English Language Guidance.

He added that this competition represents an important opportunity to develop students’ spelling and writing skills in English, which contributes to developing their academic skills in general.

In a related context, Mohamed Abdel Azim, Director General of the Region for Cultural Sciences and Student Care, held an expanded meeting with department directors and general supervisors, to discuss the latest preparations for the visit of the National Authority for Quality Assurance in Education to the institutes nominated for accreditation. Abdel Azim stressed that this visit is an important step in improving and developing Al-Azhari education in North Sinai, noting that the region’s leaders are continuously following up on the work related to the institutes nominated for accreditation to ensure the provision of high-quality education.

The Director General of the region stressed the need to follow up on all procedures during this week to overcome obstacles and ensure that the institutes are prepared to receive the visit, which enhances the educational process and contributes to improving the quality of Al-Azhar education.
