Though Comme des Garçons’ SS25 show was named Uncertain Future, at Paris Fashion Week, designer Rei Kawakubo was approaching that uncertainty with optimism. “With the state of the world as it is, the future as uncertain as it is, if you put air and transparency into the mix of things, there could be the possibility of hope.” This was what Kawakubo’s husband Adrian Joffe said backstage, when asked about inspiration for the show.
