Colleague Reda Awad receives a doctorate in modern and contemporary history with first class honors
Journalist Reda Awad, editor-in-chief of Sawt Al-Umma newspaper, obtained a doctorate in the philosophy of history from the African Graduate School of Studies on the subject of relations between the Soviet Union and Ethiopia 1977-1991. The discussion committee consisted of Dr. Al-Sayed Fleifel, professor of modern and contemporary history at the College of Graduate Studies. African “supervisor”, Dr. Hamdna Allah Mustafa Hassan, Professor of Modern History at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, and Dr. Sherine Mubarak, Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the Faculty of Studies. African Higher Education, and the 3-hour discussion committee awarded colleague Reda Awad a doctoral degree with first class honors.
