
The Cleveland Browns have reached an agreement with Joe Flacco on a one-year deal worth $4million.
The Super Bowl champion will return for his second spell in Cleveland, having won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award with the franchise in 2023.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Flacco’s deal could be worth as much as $13m.
The 40-year-old held talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings this offseason but has decided to return to Cleveland.
Flacco returns to Cleveland after he signed with the Browns in Week 12 of the 2023 season.
He played in five straight games and led the Browns to a 4-1 record, which included a Week 17 win over the New York Jets that sealed a playoff berth – their first since 2020.

While in Cleveland, Flacco completed 123 of 204 passing attempts for 1,616 yards and 13 touchdowns during the regular season.
The Browns ended the 2023 season with an 11-6 record before losing in the Wild Card round of the playoffs to the Houston Texans.
Flacco then spent last season with the Colts, appearing in eight games with six starts as he battled Anthony Richardson to be QB1.
The Browns already have Deshaun Watson in their quarterback ranks and have also signed Kenny Pickett from the Eagles this offseason.
